The beautiful scenery of Baraga County and the playfulness of the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This is a pretty short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. There's camping available near Falls River. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good spots. Falls River doesn't have a lot of paddling     sections, the Mead Road to Lake Superior section is the only one. No need to look hard for hotels, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The starting location is a short drive from Houghton, as you can see on the road map further down. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back for more.
