This stretch of Falls River in Baraga County is 2 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III-IV+ section of whitewater. The Mead Road to Lake Superior section is the only paddling section along Falls River. Throughout the warm days of summer highs here at Falls River get into the 70's; the night is slightly chillier of course, regularly in the 50's.
