  The beautiful scenery of Michigan and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. This section of Huron River - East Br. in Baraga County is 5.6 miles long and it is classified as a class II-IV+ section by American Whitewater. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Michigan are often more forgiving than in other states, so better not forget that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors
    will have you coming back for more. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end
up sleeping in your car. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip.

Briefly about the general area:
Big Falls is a scenic spot to visit while you're at Huron River - East Br.; a short tour to West Branch Falls is always worthwhile. Huron River - East Br. is a good site of typical precipitation; through January this area sees the most snow, and the driest month of the year is April.
Summertime at Huron River - East Br. arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall
 
down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's while Huron River - East Br. overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's.
