The scenic beauty of Michigan and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. There's camping available near Presque Isle. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good spots for that around here. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so better not forget     that rivers here are less demanding. This is a pretty decent length section, good for a one day paddling trip. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
