You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve     in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The scenic beauty of Michigan and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. The wild scenery of the Gogebic Range is great. Highs through the winter are ordinarily in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Presque Isle are in the-10's.
