This section of Red Cedar River in Michigan is 0.1 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I section. The natural beauty of Ingham County and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you won't find a large number of other places. Getting     your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. This stretch is very short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Michigan is often easier than elsewhere, so keep in mind that many of the sections here are safe for beginners.
