The nature scenery of Ingham County and the cool fresh water beats anything. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Williamston section is one of them. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Owosso, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. This section of Red Cedar River in     Ingham County is 0.1 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I section. This is an extremely short stretch so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you won't find many other paddling places. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
