The wonderful Michigan scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a pretty small number of paddling places. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Michigan tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so if you're not from around here don't forget that     many of the rivers here are not very demanding. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The MSU Wave stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. This is a very short section so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. The starting point is not too far from Lansing-East Lansing, as you can see on the road map further down. Briefly about the general area: At Red Cedar River through the long summer days highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Red Cedar   River temperatures sink to the 10's.
