This section of Rock River is 5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-III+ section. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. Whether you're whitewater     rafting or kayaking there are lots of good rivers for that around here. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Rock River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Worm Lake outlet to Sturgeon River stretch is the only one. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The scenic beauty of Baraga County and the cool fresh water have people coming here.
