Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The Silver Road to Skanee Road stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. This stretch is short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Highs during the winter are typically in the 20's while Slate River night low temperatures   through the wintertime are in the 0's.
