This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. This section of Yellow Dog River in Michigan is 5.1 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-V section. This stretch     is mid length, it's perfect for a one day trip. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp.
