Lake
county,
confluence of E and W Branches to Highway 61 section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS IV-V+ 2 miles
This section of Beaver River is 2 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class IV-V+ section. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so you'd better keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. The natural beauty of Lake County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough
to come here to paddle. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. No need to look hard for hotels, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming
back for more. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. This section is quite short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times.
