This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. There are many good hotels to choose from, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling spots.     The nature scenery of Lake County and the water flowing gracefully down Beaver River are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. The confluence of E and W Branches to Highway 61 stretch of Beaver River is 2 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class IV-V+ section of whitewater. Briefly about the general area: Beaver River gets a normal amount of rainfall; through the month of June you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest. Put some time aside to spend at Beaver River Falls while you're here at Beaver River, and if you're here, do take a spree to Beaver Bay. At Beaver River through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's while overnight lows are typically in   the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are generally in the 20's; after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Beaver River descend into the 0's.
