This stretch of Big Fork in Minnesota is 14 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II(IV) section. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The CR229 to Little American Falls stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Minnesota is often tougher than elsewhere, so if you're     not from around here don't forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a pretty small number of paddling places.
