Big Falls section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS IV-V+ 0.5 miles
Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Minnesota is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. The scenic beauty of Minnesota and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. No shortage of good hotels, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are not so many other good spots for that around here. The Big Falls stretch of Big Fork
is 0.5 miles long and is a class IV-V+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This is a very short section so better bring some good walking shoes. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors
are sure to keep you coming back for more. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Big Falls section is one of them.
