A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. You can enjoy this section more if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Minnesota are often tougher than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. There's camping available near     Brule River. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The natural beauty of Cook County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling rivers.
