Minnesota whitewater - Crow Creek, Lake County

Lake county, Cty 3 to Lake Superior section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.

CLASS IV     2 miles
The wonderful Minnesota scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. This section is quite short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. There are nice comfortable hotels here,
but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This stretch of Crow Creek in Lake County is 2 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class IV section. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around
here you'll find a large number of good places. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. Crow Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Cty 3 to Lake Superior stretch is the only one.
