This stretch of Kettle River in Carlton/Pine County is 25 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The natural beauty of Minnesota and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book
    a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking
around here you won't find a large number of other places. The CR4 to CR52 stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so why not pack your camping stuff too.

Briefly about the general area:
All through the long summer days at Kettle River temperatures are regularly in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Kettle
 
River are in the-10's. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Kettle River; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain while February is generally the driest month.
