The nature scenery of Minnesota and the playfulness of the water beats anything. The average Minnesota whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so don't forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. The CR4 to CR52 stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. You might have to settle
for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. If you hurry you can run this stretch in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. Getting a good workout and just
being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. This stretch of Kettle River in Minnesota is 25 miles long and has been rated as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you won't find many other paddling spots.
