Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Minnesota is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The natural beauty of Minnesota and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. Getting some     good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. The campgrounds here at Kettle River are pretty good. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are not so many other good spots for that around here.
