The average Minnesota whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. The Cty 102 to Lake Superior stretch is the only paddling stretch along Knife River. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, suitable for an afternoon trip. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad     you came. There are many good hotels to choose from, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The beautiful scenery of Minnesota and the water flowing gracefully down Knife River have people coming here.
