The beautiful scenery of Minnesota and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. The Highway 25 to Highway 48/77 stretch of Lower Tamarack River in Minnesota is 10.2 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Minnesota are often more challenging than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just
being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The Highway 25 to Highway 48/77 section is the only paddling section
along Lower Tamarack River. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so pack your camp stove. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you won't find many other paddling rivers.

River is right by the Markville Snowmobile Trail. All through the summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Lower Tamarack River, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 10's, and overnight lows at Lower Tamarack River through the wintertime regularly dip into the-10's.
