The Highway 61 to Thomson Reservoir stretch of Midway River is 4 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-II section of whitewater. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The average Minnesota     whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling places. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more.
