The beautiful scenery of Stearns County and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This section is very short so no need to bring snacks. There's camping available near Mississippi River. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking     this area has a pretty small number of paddling places. Mississippi River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Sauk Rapids stretch is the only one.
