If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Minnesota you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. The beautiful scenery of Minnesota and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. If you're a camper
you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This stretch has has enough mileage, you can easily run it
on an afternoon. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are not so many other good places for that around here. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. This stretch of Pigeon River is 8.5 miles long and it is classified as a class II-III section by American Whitewater.
