The natural beauty of Minnesota and the cool fresh water beats anything. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. has has enough mileage, suitable for an afternoon trip. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want
| to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. There are plenty of other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you won't find a large number of other rivers.

hiking trail nearby. There is a great hiking trail close to Snake River called the Herubin Truck Trail. At Snake River throughout the summertime highs are in the 70's while overnight lows are usually in the 50's. During
the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Snake River are in the-10's. Snake River is a good spot of common rainfall. Throughout July this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
