  The Silver Star Road to Township Road section of Snake River is 4 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-III section of whitewater. The Silver Star Road to Township Road section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The beautiful scenery of Aitkin/Kanabec
    County and the water flowing gracefully down Snake River are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Minnesota is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're not from
around here don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. The campgrounds here at Snake River are pretty good. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you won't find a large number of other places.
