The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Minnesota are often more challenging than in other states, so keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good places for that around here. This is a short paddling stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The beautiful scenery of Minnesota and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.
