The average Minnesota whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. The CR210 to Oldenburg Point section is one of a few paddling     sections in this river system. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. The wonderful Minnesota scenery and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. There's camping available near St. Louis River. The put-in location is a short drive from Duluth, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This section is quite short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. No need to travel far to pop by exciting stuff like Oldenburg Point. At St. Louis River all through the summertime months highs   are in the 80's while overnight lows are frequently in the 50's.
