The CR210 to Oldenburg Point section of St. Louis River in Minnesota is 3.25 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-V section of whitewater. The natural beauty of Minnesota and the water flowing gracefully down St. Louis River are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The put-in location is a short drive from Duluth, if you're     not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The CR210 to Oldenburg Point section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of spots for that. This is a somewhat short section so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Briefly about the general area: For the period of the long summer days at St. Louis River highs are ordinarily in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. Through the winter   the highs are typically in the 10's while St. Louis River nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the-10's.
