This stretch of Stewart River is 4.9 miles long and has been rated as a class II-IV(V) section by American Whitewater. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, suitable for an afternoon trip. There are no other stretches to paddle along Stewart River     than the CR2 to Highway 61 stretch. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. Briefly about the general area: Flood Bay is nearby and always glorious to stop by. Throughout the summer months, highs commonly are in the 70's at Stewart River. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's.
