A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than     elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable. The scenic beauty of Minnesota and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This is the only paddling stretch along Stewart River.
