The scenic beauty of Mississippi and the water flowing gracefully down Chunky River have people coming here. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to     one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The Chunky River Close to Chunky section is the only paddling section along Chunky River. Briefly about the general area: Summertime highs at Chunky River typically tend to be in the 90's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 60's. During the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 50's with temperatures at Chunky River dipping down into the 30's throughout winter nights.
