This section of Bourbeuse River is 107.6 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class I section. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. Bourbeuse River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Highway 19 to Highway AM stretch is the only one. The scenic beauty of Missouri and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. rivers here are not very demanding. A stretch of this length does require some preparations, perfect for a real wilderness adventure. There's camping available near Bourbeuse River. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations
| you might end up sleeping in your car.
Briefly about the general area: Summertime highs at Bourbeuse River mostly tend to be in the 80's, and the night is rather chillier of course, regularly in the 70's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 80's with temperatures at Bourbeuse River dipping down into the 70's all through winter nights. Bourbeuse River is a wet place that gets lots of rainfall; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is May.
