  The starting point is not too far from Farmington, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Missouri is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good spots for that around here. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular
    destination. The Ozarks scenery is wonderful. The nature scenery of St. Francois - Iron - Madison County and the water flowing gracefully down Brewers Creek have people coming here. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. The Highway
V to Highway MM stretch of Brewers Creek in Missouri is 7 miles long and is a class III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The campgrounds here at Brewers Creek are pretty good. This is the only paddling section along Brewers Creek. This stretch is mid length, you can easily run it on an afternoon.

Briefly about the general area:
Near Brewers Creek you find Magee Hollow which is a fine site to take a look at. Brewers Creek is a good place of common rain; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and
 
January is when it's the driest.
All through the summer at Brewers Creek temperatures are mostly in the 80's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are typically in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Brewers Creek.
