The put-in is not too far from Farmington, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Missouri is often easier than elsewhere, so keep in mind that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. The beautiful scenery of St. Francois - Iron - Madison County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. The Highway V to Highway MM stretch of Brewers Creek in St. Francois - Iron - Madison County is 7 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to
be a class III section. On this section you do get some distance, it's good length for a morning trip. There's camping available near Brewers Creek. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. The Ozarks scenery
is wonderful. There are no other stretches to paddle along Brewers Creek than the Highway V to Highway MM stretch. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.

the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. Highs all through the winter are typically in the 40's, and overnight lows at Brewers Creek throughout the wintertime commonly fall into the 20's. You might want to pay a visit to Magee Hollow if you're here at Brewers Creek.
