The natural beauty of Iron County and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. This is the only paddling section along Carver Creek. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book     a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is an extremely short stretch so no need to bring snacks. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so better not forget that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. The beautiful Ozarks scenery is an added bonus. This stretch of Carver Creek in Missouri is 1 miles long and it is classified as a class IV section by American Whitewater. Briefly about the general area: Good hiking is available along the Taum Sauk Trail. A good deal of precipitation falls at Carver Creek; March is when you get the most rain here while January is the month with   the least amount of precipitation. At Carver Creek through the warm months highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. During the winter highs are frequently in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Carver Creek.
