Missouri whitewater, Center Creek

Jasper county, Carthage to Belleville section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.

CLASS I     26.5 miles

Kayaked with inflatable Kayaks on 09/27 from Stones Corner fishing access to Carl Junction fishing access (5 miles) absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!! Says Perry

The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Missouri are often easier than in other states, so better not forget that many of the sections in this state are safe for beginners. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. This stretch
of Center Creek in Jasper County is 26.5 miles long and has been rated as a class I section by American Whitewater. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. The Ozarks
scenery is wonderful. The beautiful scenery of Missouri and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The Carthage to Belleville stretch is the only paddling stretch along Center Creek. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby.
