Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less demanding. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. When you're paddling down
a Ozarks river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This is a pretty short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Farmington,
if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling rivers. The Crane Lake to County Road 134 section is the only paddling section along Crane Pond Creek. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here.
