The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Missouri are often easier than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less demanding. There aren’t any hotels right nearby     but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The Ozarks scenery is wonderful. If you're coming from Farmington it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Off of Highway E section is one of them. This is a very short section so better bring some good walking shoes.
