The beautiful scenery of Madison County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Missouri is often easier than elsewhere, so keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less demanding. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Great exercise     and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back for more. This section is very short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. The wild scenery of the Ozarks is great. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good places for that around here. The put-in location is a short drive from Farmington, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The Off of Highway E stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. Briefly about the general area: Bill Smith Hollow is a delightful spot to spend some time at. All through the summertime here at Little Rock Creek, high temperatures typically reach the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. For   the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Little Rock Creek. An average amount of rainfall falls at Little Rock Creek; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest.
