Been here and there is not a good put-in site for a boat. The creek is one mile from where you can park a car unless it's right next to the St Francis river and that means you won't be kayaking down this creek. Which is impossible unless there is serious rainfall. Says Chef
If you're coming from Farmington it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This section of Lower Rock Creek in Madison County is 3 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class
IV section. The Ozarks scenery is wonderful. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The nature scenery of Madison County and the water flowing gracefully down Lower Rock Creek will make you feel great. This is a short paddling stretch so no need to bring snacks.
This is the only paddling section along Lower Rock Creek. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Missouri you might find the rivers
here a bit more manageable, so you'd better keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy.
