  The starting point is not too far from Farmington, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The natural beauty of Missouri and the water flowing gracefully down Marble Creek are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This section of Marble Creek in Missouri is 3.8 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II section. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. If you've been
    whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Missouri you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so you'd better keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. This is a somewhat short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in
a few times. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. This is the only paddling stretch along Marble Creek. The beautiful Ozarks scenery is an added bonus. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling places.

Briefly about the general area:
Through the warmest time of the year at Marble Creek highs are commonly in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are typically in the 40's;
 
winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Marble Creek. Marble Creek is a good spot of normal precipitation; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and January is when it's the driest.
