You don't mention many Missouri rivers like the upper Jack's Fork, a level I/II, the North Fork of the White River, Bryant's Creek, and the Niangua, among others. Just thought you should know! Says cjrobin This stretch of Meramec River in Phelps Crawford Franklin County is 67 miles long and is a class I section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The wonderful Phelps Crawford Franklin County scenery and the cool fresh     water beats anything. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. A stretch this long is of course too much for a one day trip, so better bring your camping gear along. The river winds through the Ozarks and you get great scenery. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There are no other sections to paddle along Meramec River than the Maramec Spring to Meramec Caverns section. Briefly about   the general area: All through the warmest time of the year highs here at Meramec River reach the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows all through the winter for Meramec River tend to be in the 10's.
