CLASS III-IV 2.4 miles
The wonderful Missouri scenery and the playfulness of the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The average Missouri whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier to run than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that the rivers in this state are less demanding. The Hawn State Park Road to Hawn State Park picnic area section of Pickle Creek is 2.4 miles long and is a class III-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. of the Ozarks is great. The put-in location is a short drive from Farmington, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. This section is quite short so you'd
better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times.
