Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Missouri tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. The wonderful Missouri scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Roaring River make the     trip here worthwhile. Roaring River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Roaring River State Park to Highway 86 stretch is the only one. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The beautiful Ozarks scenery is an added bonus. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with not too many other places for that. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's perfect for a one day trip. All through the warmest time of the year at Roaring River highs are regularly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's.
