The put-in is not too far from Farmington, as you can see on the road map further down. The wonderful Iron/ Madison County scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Missouri are often more forgiving than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that quite a few of     the sections here are pretty easy. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Lake Killarney to St. Francis River section is one of them. The wild scenery of the Ozarks is great. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip.
