The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Missouri are often easier than in other states, so don't forget that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The beauty of the Ozarks is a great plus for this     river. The scenic beauty of Missouri and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The Taum Sauk Mountain to Little Taum Sauk Creek stretch is the only paddling stretch along Taum Sauk Creek. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling rivers. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come.
