The Highway 141 to Scotty Brown Bridge section of Blackfoot River is 40 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II section. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that the rivers in this state are less demanding. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd
    better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. A stretch of this length does require some preparations, so make sure you pack enough food along with
your camping gear. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you won't find many other paddling rivers.

Briefly about the general area:
Nevada Valley is next to Blackfoot River and is a splendid site. Blackfoot River is typically a pretty dehydrated place; January is the month that gets the most snow, and July is when it's the driest.
During the long summer days at Blackfoot River temperatures are commonly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. High temperatures
 
through the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Blackfoot River through the wintertime ordinarily descend into the 0's.
