  The Scotty Brown Bridge to Johnsrud Park stretch of Blackfoot River in Missoula County is 32 miles long and it is classified as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. A stretch this long is of course too much for a one day trip, so it looks like you will be camping out. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Scotty Brown Bridge to Johnsrud Park section is one of them. Whitewater rafting and kayaking
    spots in Montana are easier than the national norm, so keep in mind that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. The campgrounds here at Blackfoot River are pretty good. The scenic beauty of
