Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Montana is often easier than elsewhere, so better not forget that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The beauty of the Absaroka Range is a great plus for this river. This is a pretty decent length section,
suitable for an afternoon trip. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of spots for that. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming
back for more. This stretch of Boulder River is 4 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III-V section of whitewater. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too.

Throughout the summer months here at Boulder River, high temperatures typically get into the 80's, and during
the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Boulder River descend into the 10's.
