The Falls Creek to Highway 200 Bridge stretch of Dearborn River in Montana is 16 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-III section. The scenic beauty of Lewis & Clark County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less demanding. you can run this stretch in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you won't find many other paddling places. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come.
