The scenic beauty of Lewis & Clark County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less demanding. When you're paddling down a Lewis Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. If you hurry     you can run this stretch in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you won't find many other paddling places. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. Briefly about the general area: During the summertime at Dearborn River temperatures are generally in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's.   The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Dearborn River temperatures descend to the 10's. Dearborn River gets very little rainfall; through May this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest.
