The beautiful scenery of Cascade/ Lewis &Clark County and the water flowing gracefully down Dearborn River are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This section of Dearborn River in Montana is 29 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American
Whitewater. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the Dearborn Canyon Road Bridge to Highway 287 Bridge stretch is one of them. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so pack your sleeping bag. You can pitch a tent or park
your RV at a nearby campground. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a pretty small number of paddling spots.
