The West Glacier to Blankenship Bridge stretch of Flathead River - Middle Fork in Montana is 6 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II section. The starting location is a short drive from Kalispell, as you can see on the road map further down. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Montana is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less demanding. The West Glacier to Blankenship Bridge section is
one of many paddling sections in this river system. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Whitewater paddling here in the Lewis Range is a great experience. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time
in nature will have you coming back for more. The wonderful Montana scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. This is a pretty decent length section, it's perfect for a one day trip. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with not too many other rivers for that.
