The West Fork Gallatin to Greek Creek stretch of Gallatin River in Gallatin County is 11 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. The West Fork Gallatin to Greek Creek stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. The starting point is not too far from Bozeman, if you're not familiar     with the area there's a road map further down the page. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of places for that. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. The average Montana whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier to run than those in other states, so keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less demanding. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's.
