The put-in location is a short drive from Bozeman, as you can see on the road map further down. The scenic beauty of Gallatin County and the water flowing gracefully down Gallatin River will make you feel great. There's camping available near Gallatin River. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. If you hurry you can run this stretch in a day but why not
make it an overnighter, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Montana are often more forgiving than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. There are a few other stretches in this
river system that can be paddled as well. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
