Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Montana is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. The nature scenery of Judith Basin County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is the only paddling stretch along Judith River. A section like this is is of course
not run in a single day, perfect for a real wilderness adventure. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here.
Briefly about the general area: High temperatures at Judith River throughout the days of summer are in the
80's with night lows in the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Judith River temperatures fall to the 0's. At Judith River you don’t see much rain; May is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month is February. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Wagon Wheel Trail.
