This section of Mill Creek is 2 miles long and is a class V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Missoula, as you can see on the road map further down. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. of Montana and the cool fresh water beats anything. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. This is a bit of a short stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times.
There are no other sections to paddle along Mill Creek than the along Mill Creek Road into Frenchtown section. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby.

this place gets highs in the 30's while Mill Creek night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. Blackcat Gulch is close to Mill Creek and is undeniably a good place to explore.
