The average Montana whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. The put-in is not too far from Great Falls, as you can see on the road map further down. This is a pretty decent length section, good for a one day paddling trip. Whether you're whitewater rafting     or kayaking there are not so many other good places for that around here. The Great Falls section of Missouri River in -blank- County is 9 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II(V) section. There's camping available near Missouri River. Missouri River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Great Falls stretch is the only one. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Briefly about the general area: During the summertime months at Missouri River temperatures are frequently in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Missouri River tend to be in the 10's.
