  The East and West Fork Rosebud to Stillwater River stretch of Rosebud Creek is 4 miles long and it is classified as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. The put-in location is a short drive from Billings, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The natural beauty
    of Stillwater County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you
come because it is a very popular destination. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling places. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the East and West Fork Rosebud to Stillwater River stretch is just one of them.
