The scenic beauty of Flathead County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. The Upper Stillwater Lake to Lower Stillwater Lake stretch is the only paddling stretch along Stillwater River. The campgrounds here at Stillwater River     are pretty good. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a pretty small number of paddling spots. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
