Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Montana tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so better not forget that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. This is the only paddling section along Stillwater River. There's camping available near Stillwater River. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. This is a pretty short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over.     The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a pretty small number of paddling spots. Briefly about the general area: Not much precipitation falls here at Stillwater River; June is when you get the most rain here, and February on the other hand is the driest. Throughout the summertime months, highs commonly are in the 80's at Stillwater River; the nighttime is fairly colder of course, ordinarily in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's while Stillwater River overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's.
